JCJC softball to hold winter hitting camp

— The Jones County Junior College softball team will hold the Bobcat Winter Hitting Camp on Jan. 11.

    The camp will take place from 9 a.m.-noon at Community Bank Park. The camp is for youngsters ages 7 through high school seniors.

    There is a $30 pre-registration fee and cost will be $35 on the day of the camp. Campers need to bring all necessary softball equipment.

    JCJC hitting instructor Carlos Castro and members of the Lady Bobcat softball team will teach the fundamentals of hitting through drills and instruction. After the camp, the Lady Bobcats will scrimmage at 2 p.m.
