The Clarkdale baseball team topped Lamar 7-4 Friday night in a batle of public vs. private school at Lamar.
Levi Wedgeworth picked up the win for the Bulldogs, going 6 1/3 innings while giving up two earned runs and striking out five batters.
Jonathan Porter led Clarkdale at the plate, belting a two-run home run as part of a 3/4 performance on the night.
Chance McDonald went 2/4 with three RBIs and Dylan Reed had an RBI double for Clarkdale.
The Bulldogs improve to 13-2 on the season and will travel to Stringer today at 3 p.m.
Southeast Lauderdale 12
Wayne County 4
The Southeast Lauderdale baseball team cruised past Wayne County 12-4 Friday afternoon.
Dylan Rivers pitched five innings and gave up three earned runs to earn the win for the Tigers.
Gage Hagan led SEL with three hits, including a double and a three-run home run. Hunter Thrower and Nathan Ross both had three hits for the Tigers as well.
Mason Irby , 2/4; Josh Litchfield, 2/3 two-run home run three RBI and Andrew Black, 2/4 , double, RBI, rounded out multiple hitters for SEL.
The Tigers improve to 9-5 with the win and will host Choctaw Central on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
