Dew receives Bobcat award

ELLISVILLE —    Jones County Junior College’s Tori Dew received the Bobcat Award for softball during the Spring Athletic Banquet May 6.

    The Bobcat Award is voted on by the team and goes to a player who exemplifies everything a coach and team expects in a student-athlete, from leadership to hard work to dedication and to a commitment to excellence.

    Dew, a Quitman High School graduate, was recently named the NJCAA Division II Softball Player of the Year and NJCAA Division II first-team All-American. She was also to the NJCAA Division II All-Tournament Team and All-Region 23.
