Knights claim North State title

HOUSTON — Taylorsville blanks Bulldogs

The Tartars took Game 1 of its series against Enterprise with a 10-0 win.

The Bulldogs struggled out of the gates, walking the first three batters of the game.

“When you’re going against good teams, they are going to capitalize and score on you,” Enterprise coach John Welch said.

Enterprise managed just four hits in the contest. The Bulldogs host Game 2 at 7 p.m. today.

“We competed,” Welch said. I was proud of my team. We get them (today) at home, and it’s a three-game series.
