The Philadelphia Tornadoes clinched their fifth straight Region 5-3A title with a 41-6 win over district new-comer Choctaw County.
By the end of the first quarter, Philly had jumped out to a 14-0 lead on a 6-yard run by Jacardius Griffin and a 90-yard interception return by Fent Mars.
The Roman bothers made it a three-score game, 21-0, when Roman Gray found Kaylon Gray in the end zone of a 26-yard pass.
The Chargers got on the board with a 19-yard run by Damarcus Bradley, but the two-point conversion failed, 21-6. The Gray duo connected before halftime on a 14-yard play to take a 28-6 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Griffin added a 3-yard touchdown run. Dontae Poe capped the game's scoring with a 47-yard run, 41-6.
Kemper Academy 56
Central Academy 14
Kemper Academy ran wild Friday night on the way to a 56-14 victory against Central Academy. The win improves the Rams' record to 7-3 overall.
The Rams got on the board early on a six-yard Bailey Luke touchdown run followed by an unsuccessful two-point conversion.
Also in the first quarter, Dustin Davis broke free on a 20-yard touchdown run and Cole Thomas punched in a one-yard touchdown run. Thomas was also successful on both two-point conversions.
The Rams offense kept rolling in the second quarter with a 13-yard Thomas touchdown run and a ten-yard Luke touchdown run.
The Rams took to the air in the third quarter scoring on a 84-yard Davis to Dylan McFarland touchdown pass and a 27-yard Davis to Thomas touchdown pass.
In the fourth, Luke closed out the game with a 37-yard touchdown run.
The Rams will likely open postseason play next week at Sharkey.
Christian Colligiate 36
Calvary Christian 34
Calvary Christian fell 36-34 to Christian Colligiate Friday in prep football action.
The Warriors scored on a 82-yard Smokey Washum rush with two minutes left in the game to get within striking distance, but failed to convert on the two-point conversion.
Washum started off the scoring in the first quarter on a 21-yard run. Michael Bradley scored in the second quarter on a 47-yard rush. Washum connected with Aljawon Kennedy in the third on a 55-yard touchdown toss.
The Warriors will likey open posteason play next week at Franklin Academy.
