UNION —     In a rare Thursday night match up on the gridiron, Union High School head football coach Brad Breland earned his 100th career win with a 47-13 Yellowjacket win over Clarkdale High School.

"I feel very blessed," he said. "We've had a lot of good coaches and a lot of good players that were a major part of that. I feel very blessed."

The win was propelled by big plays on offense and a strong defense. Quarterback Tre Bogan had a big night, scoring on the ground and in the air, Breland said. Bogan had some support from Tradarious Harris taking a share of the long runs and Laviel Wells taking snaps and throwing for a touchdown.

"We were fortunate enough to make a few big plays on Clarkdale, but they played hard," Breland said.

With back-to-back district wins, Breland thinks they've clinched a playoff berth but aren't settling there. He wants to see the Yellowjackets win the district or at least clinch a two seed for postseason play.
