Roundup: West boys’ hoops stays undefeated, West girls, Clarkdale boys win soccer

MERIDIAN — Boys' Basketball

West 53

Neshoba 51

    The West Lauderdale boys' basketball team beat newton 53-51 at the Neshoba Central Clash on Saturday.

    The Knights moved to 6-0 behind Vince Watkins' 20 points and EJ Collier's 10. They will return to the floor in the ECCC Innovational on Dec. 3.

Girls' Soccer

    The West Lauderdale Lady Knights used 4 shutouts to win the girls' side of the Lauderdale County soccer tournament defeating Southeast Lauderdale 2-0, Northeast Lauderdale 3-0, Clarkdale 1-0 and Meridian High 5-0.

    Meridian High girls defeated Southeast 1-0, Clarkdale 2-0, tied Northeast 1-1 and lost to West 0-5.

     Clarkdale girls defeated Southeast 3-0, Northeast 2-1, lost to Meridian 0-2 and lost to West 0-1.

     Northeast girls defeated Southeast 2-0, tied Meridian 1-1, lost to Clarkdale 1-2 and lost to West 0-3.

Boys' Soccer

    The Clarkdale Bulldogs won the boys side of the Lauderdale County tournament.  The Bulldogs defeated West Lauderdale 2-0, Meridian 2-0 and tied Southeast 0-0 and tied Northeast 1-1.

     West Lauderdale boys beat Southeast 1-0, beat Meridian 1-0, tied Northeast 1-1 and lost to Clarkdale 0-2.

     Northeast Lauderdale boys beat Meridian 2-0, beat Southeast 2-1, tied Clarkdale 1-1, tied West Lauderdale 1-1

     Southeast Lauderdale boys beat Meridian 2-0, tied Clarkdale 0-0, lost to Northeast 1-2 and lost to West 0-1.
