Roundup: Southeast sweeps past Kemper County

MERIDIAN —     Southeast Lauderdale improved their record to 7-3 on the season with a 45-39 win versus Kemper County Tuesday night in girls prep basketball action.

    Leading scorers for SEL were Tia Larkin with 12 points and Gabrielle Cole with 10 points.

    Kemper County's Kasmine Nunn put up 13 points on the night.

SEL Boys    57

Kemper County    50

    The Southeast Lauderdale Tigers grabbed a 57-50 win over Kemper  County Tuesday in boys prep basketball action. The win moves the Tigers to 3-4 overall.

    Southeast's Dale Morris led the offense with 14 points. Takari Brooks added 12 points.

Quitman Girls    60

Northeast Jones    41

    Quitman blasted Northeast Jones 60-41 Tuesday in girls prep basketball action.

    Talexus Pittman led the Panthers with 16 points. Shonte Hailes added 13 points.

    Quitman will be back in action Friday at Lawrence County.
