The Sports Bulletin Board

The Sports Bulletin Board normally runs three times per week. There are three ways to submit items for publication. East Central Community College Hosts Tennis Coach Workshop

ECCC will host a USTA Recreational Tennis Coach Workshop on Oct. 11, from 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. on the ECCC tennis courts. Cost to attend is $10 and includes lunch. Participants should bring tennis racquet.Call Dianne O'Neil at (601)862-2130 or email killerbdi@yahoo.com.

REGISTRATIONS

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading

Registration is under way at NorthPark Church, 7770 Highway 39 North. Registration $65 after Oct. 5 and $60 cheerleading and $70 after Oct. 5. Deadline to register is Oct. 16. This is for boys and girls from Kindergarten through sixth grades. Call Kay Stewart at (601)482-1322 for registration information, basketball evaluation and cheerleading orientation. Practices begin Jan. 5, and games begin Jan. 24.

Meridian Parks and Recreation Adult Basketball Registration

This is for men's and ladies' slow and fast break. Cost is $275 per men's team and $200 per ladies' team. Deadline to register is Nov. 7, at the Parks and Recreation Department at Highland Park. Call (601)485-1803.

Meridian Parks and Recreation Boys and Girls Youth Basketball Registration

The registration will be for boys ages 8 and under to 14 and under and girls from ages 10 and under and 13 and under. Boys registration deadline is by Nov. 7th and for girls deadline is Nov. 14 at the Parks and Recreation office in Highland Park. Birth certificate and $25 fee required. Call (601)485-1803.



BASEBALL

Second Annual Fall Baseball Camp

East Central Community College in Decatur will hold a fall baseball camp on Oct. 23 or Saturday Oct. 25 and continue each week through Nov. 15, for high school players in grades nine through 12. Petal Recreation Department Youth Baseball Tournament

Senior's Golf Match 50 Plus

This golf tournament will be held Oct. 9, at Ponta Creek Golf Course at Naval Air Station Meridian. Tee time is 9 a.m. and cost is $40. Call NAS Golf Shop at (601)679-2526.

Newton Country Club Two Person Shamble

ECCC Benefit Golf Tournament

The tournament will be held Oct. 18 and will benefit the ECCC baseball program and will be held at Decatur Country Cub. Team Camp

Ladies Second Fall Four Lady Scramble

SWIMMING

MSA — The Meridian Swim Team
