MCC soccer splits with Hinds

from school reports

RAYMOND — Meridian Community College split a pair of soccer games at Hinds Tuesday night.

The women, who received a goal by both Taylor George and Christina Murray, earned a 2-1 victory.

The Lady Eagles (4-0) avenged an overtime loss to Hinds in last season's Region 23 semifinal playoff game.

The men's team (1-1-1) gave up a second half goal to Hinds to fall 1-0.

Both MCC squads will be back on the pitch at the annual Rush Showcase this weekend at C.D. Smith on the Meridian campus.
