Clarkdale ventured to Northeast Mississippi for two days of slow-pitch softball action Friday and Saturday, returning with four victories.
The Lady Bulldogs topped Saltillo 9-2 and blanked Tupelo 16-0 Friday night, then won 15-3 over North Pontotoc and 13-1 over Alcorn Central Saturday in the South Pontotoc Tournament.
Unbeaten Clarkdale is now set to host West Lauderdale Tuesday night.
In the win over Tupelo, the Lady Dogs scored 16 times in the first inning and every member of the starting lineup had at least two hits. Cory Roberson was the winning pitcher.
The Lady Dogs scored five times in the fifth inning and four times in the sixth in the win over Saltillo, banging out 17 hits. Sarah Harris had a single and double, while Sarah Beckman, Cayla Coleman, Courtney Castleberry, Abby Roberts and Amber Spann all had two hits.
Roberson was again the winning pitcher.
Clarkdale scored six times each in the second and third innings of the win over North Pontotoc, with Roberts ripping four hits and Beckman going 3-for-4 with a double.
Spann and Castleberry had two hits apiece, as did Olivia Whitlock. Alex Smith was the winning pitcher.
Against Alcorn Central, Clarkdale got 22 base hits and scored all of its runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth frames after falling behind 1-0.
Spann was 4-for-4 while Roberts had two doubles and a single and Coleman three singles. Beckman singled and doubled, while Roberson was the winning pitcher and added two hits. Whitlock and Katie Sanders had two hits each, as well.

Enterprise goes 4-0 in
Poplarville tourney
While their rivals ventured North to get four victories this past weekend, Enterprise went to the opposite end of the state and produced the same results.
Playing in the Poplarville Tournament, the defending Class 2A state runnerups edged Picayune 11-10, blanked Biloxi 6-0, whipped Petal 14-0 and blanked host Poplarville 4-0.
The Lady Dogs, now 5-4, are back in action tonight at Newton County.
In Saturday's win over Picayune, Enterprise scored six times in the first inning and held on for the win.
Bethany Volking, Jessalyn Rozell and Haley Brooke Smith all had three hits for Enterprise, which banged out 17 in the contest. Freshman Ally Harper was the winning pitcher.
In a 6-0 win over Biloxi, Selena Irby had two hits and Enterprise scored all the runs it needed with a three-run rally in the second. Smith had a hit and an RBI and Summer Robinson also had a key hit. Harper was the winning pitcher.
The Lady Dogs blanked Petal behind two hits each from Smith, Robinson, Volking, Rozell, Stacia Whitaker and Jordan Farrar. Harper was the winner, and her teammates backed her with five runs in the first inning and six in the third.
Smith, Harper and Blair Hennington then produced two hits apiece in the win over Poplarville, with Harper getting the win on the mound. Enterprise scored three times in the third inning and twice in the sixth.
