Lamar second at Class AAA state tourney

Lamar School's golf squad took part in the MPSA Class AAA Tournament Monday afternoon at Old Waverly, falling one shot short behind tourney champs Jackson Prep.
Prep shot a team score of 312 to top Lamar's 313. Presbyterian Christian fired a 325 to take third.
Individually, Lamar's Daniel Fulton fired a 76 to take second place while Chad Bounds finished fourth with a 77.
Elliot Tramontana carded a 79, Easton Key turned in an 81, Allen Massengill scored 86 and Michael Cobb chipped in an 89 for Lamar.
Lamar will return to action next week at the MPSA Overall Championship at Dogwood Hills Country Club in Grenada.
