Signposts on the road to Armageddon

MERIDIAN — 1 Corinthians 14:29 NLT “Let two or three people prophesy, and let the others evaluate what is said.”

Tom’s drive to win approval of voters in the 4th Congressional District is over and it is back to work as a computer engineer. The questions linger in the minds of candidates who do not finish at the top of the list; what did I do to cause this to happen or what mistake was made in planning for representation of the people.

In fact, what causes us to believe that the free choice of an individual act is a God thing? Paul’s writing clearly advises the proponents of prophecy to check out the end result. The harsh conclusion is in the hand of God. The outcome must be in line with the dream or vision to be a God thing; and any candidate will ask over and over, again, where did I mess up?

To evaluate the situation one must ask: how did I mess up? Mistakes are varying in severity and they sometime affect life in an inordinate way. Most of the time our mistakes are significantly below the path of King David as he wrote in Psalm 31 his own analysis.

However, let us look at David’s conclusion. David first asked of His God, “In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed!  This first breath of refreshment with our God is predicated upon the believer’s thought and discussion with God. I simply believe your will is best for me and that is where my faith is located.

David continues as he talks with God. Please listen to me and deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge. Father, you know I have prayed daily about this decision and have never voided our communication and your refuge. Pull me out of the net in which I am entangled “for You are my strength.” Into your hand I commit my spirit and I know you have redeemed me.

In this life, in anguish and defeat God always sees and hears His people.  The Lord said in Exodus 3:7, "I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry.” When we have worked 16 hour days, placed our hard earned money into the idea or the dream within our heart and have separated ourselves from both family and business for a period of time we ask God, Why this outcome?

God, then, says, I have seen your affliction!  I am aware of their sufferings!  I have come to deliver you! Your cry and disappointment is before Me! That is exactly when God says to His children, I will bring you into a place of satisfaction, the best of God’s creation and to a land flowing with milk and honey in this world,

God is defined as love, light and life. Christianity is a preparation for life and should not be measured as an insurance policy. At no time in history has God solved problems without effort from the people involved. Life comes from the throne room of God and prepares each of us for our continued relationship with God.

By God’s creation in nature some individuals are more intuitive than others. To add to that personality that individual may be more sensitive to their surroundings and the world around them. Usually these people are also hyper, hyper sensitive.

This doesn’t mean that they go around getting their feelings hurt all the time (though their feelings are easily hurt). It simply means that they experience and feel things deeply and may respond to an extrasensory perception.

On a much broader scope we find Biblical proof that God has always wanted to fellowship with his children. God’s leadership from Isaiah 30:21 states, whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."  With faith in our God we conclude and trust that He is the answer and that Life begins in Him.
