Loyd to bring gospel concert to Meridian

MERIDIAN —     Brittany Loyd will perform in concert at the Abundant Life Center In Meridian on Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.

Brittany, 15, who is from Carmi, Ill., has been blessing audiences with her music since she was 5 years old. Brittany sings Southern gospel, country gospel, and some contemporary gospel but her favorite still remains the old Southern gospel hymns. Her most requested songs at her concerts are her a cappella versions of "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art."

Brittany has won numerous awards, as well as the Gospels Got Talent  contest in Georgia in 2012. Brittany was asked to sing for five days in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., last May for the Southern Gospel Fanfare, where she opened for the Southern Gospel awards ceremony.

Brittany's concert schedule includes performances in Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Myrtle Beach, S.C. She has also been asked to be a part of a concert tour in Belfast, Ireland and Germany later this year.

Brittany recorded her first CD in 2012 "Look For Me" which she dedicated to her late grandmother "Sugar" Jan Kingery of Carmi. "Sugar" was always one of Brittany's biggest fans, according to a press release, and would sit for hours and listen to Brittany sing.

You can check out Brittany's music and concert schedule on her new website at www.brittanyloydministry.com.
