Signposts on the road to Armageddon

The Meridian Star

MERIDIAN — NASA’s Blood Red Moons—Part 1, joins a date of specific interest to Americans. Tax day, April 15, approaches each year as a designated appointment shouting in the mind of every U.S. citizen that an accounting is due regarding the individual financial responsibility to the government.

However, there will be another “bill board” date on April 15, 2014 that will begin with a Blood Red Moon and Solar Eclipses in the sky that will signal an unusual “tetrad” occurrence that is to happen.

The first day of Passover, April 15, 2014, the world will see “signs to mark sacred times” (Genesis 1:14) in the sky. It is interesting to note that the tetrads have been associated with events in Jewish history that coincide with pinnacle events as God raises the standard of Isaiah 46:9 which says, “I am God, and there is none like me.”

The question begs asking, "What does God have planned for 2014 and 2015?" Will this sign be for Israel or the World? As part of God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 22:18 He said, “and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.”

God then, clarified and explained His promise in the new covenant in Galatians 3:16 by the Apostle Paul providing insight that interpreted the Seed to be Christ.

NASA has charted the first and only occurrence of the “tetrad” of Blood Red Moons to occur this century to begin April 15, 2014 as the earth eclipses the moon.  A total lunar eclipse in a sequence of four is most rare as the sun, moon and Earth must be perfectly aligned at a time when the moon is also full.

There are single lunar eclipses yearly. However, when four consecutive lunar eclipses occur like the coming event in two consecutive years, it is called a "tetrad." After 2014-2015, there will be no more such tetrads in the 21st century. This can all be verified at NASA's Eclipse website.

Only three “tetrads” have occurred in the last 500 years. Next week we will bring part 2 of NASA’s Blood Red Moons and other historic “signs to mark sacred times.” As we observe one of the first “tetrad” in the sky we immediately associate it with the “sign to mark sacred times.”

This “tetrad” was during the Spanish Inquisition, July 30, 1492 when the entire Jewish community was expelled from Spain. Subsequent to that date, Passover and Feast of Tabernacles, 1493 & 1494, Four Blood Moons marked a sacred time to commemorate the story in Christopher Columbus’s diary that reads.  “In the same month in which their Majesties (Ferdinand and Isabella) issued the edict that all Jews should be driven out of the kingdom and its territories, in the same month they gave me the order to undertake with sufficient men my expedition of discovery to the Indies.”

Yes, it was the same year that the Land of the Free, America was discovered to bring freedom to all the World and to the Jews. More importantly, the reader should note that the “sign to mark sacred times” for each of these Blood Red Moons this year and next is in the spring Passover Festival and that God commanded the Jews to commemorate they were freed from slavery in Egypt in a powerful miracle.      The Feast of Tabernacles is the second Festival, also called Sukkot or the festival of Booths that is intended to be a wonderful foretaste of that future time when all peoples will come up to Jerusalem in the millennium to celebrate Sukkot.      It is a prophetic statement and assurance from God that our Lord, Messiah, is indeed coming soon. And it declares to Israel and all nations that a new day is dawning. The King is coming, and we are here to rejoice in His transforming power and soon arrival.

The prophet Joel 2:31 recorded, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.” Soon after that day, according to the prophet Zechariah, in the messianic era, Sukkot will become a universal festival and all nations will make pilgrimages annually to Jerusalem to celebrate the feast there.
