    Celebrate recovery group meets at 6 p.m. every Thursday at Faith Assembly of God, 5637 Highway 145 North in Quitman. Call (601) 678-9568.

Sunday, Sept. 23

    11 a.m. – Pleasant Grove Methodist Church on Fort Stephens Road in Bailey will have their Homecoming Service. The Rev. W.D. Pigot, former pastor, will be guest speaker. Lunch will be provided in the church dining hall following the service. For more information, call Pastor Lynn Anderson at (601) 737-5265.

    2 p.m. – Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church of Jachin, Ala., will observe its annual Family and Friends Day. The guest speaker will be the Rev. A.D. Lewis, pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Meridian and president of the East Mississippi Baptist State Congress of Christian Education. Everyone is invited to attend.

Sunday, Sept. 30

    11 a.m. – Homecoming at Bethany Baptist Church after morning worship services, located at 4475 Ponds Road.

    6 p.m. – Former members of the East Central Community College Gospel Choir will hold a reunion concert on the Decatur campus in the Vickers Fine Arts Center auditorium. For more information, call (601) 635-2111, (601) 416-5077 or, (601) 622-0150.

Sunday, Oct. 7

    3 p.m. – New Era Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their  85th anniversary with an anniversary program, Sunday, Oct. 7, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Andre Hearn of Yantley, Ala. Dr. Roderick L. Steele is host pastor. For more information, call (601) 483-6130.
