Taize service at Trinity Presbyterian time of reflection
Warm candle light, hushed voices, soft and reverent music … so begins the service of Taize (pronounced teh-ZAY). A reverent hour of worship follows for those in attendance.
Why be thankful?
It is a mystery to me why anyone would celebrate a holiday called “Thanksgiving” if they do not believe in God. Look at the word itself - “giving thanks.” I mean, to whom do you give thanks? Or worse, to what? To random chance? To blind luck?
From the Shepherd’s Heart
A prayer that needs to be repeated today is for God to open our eyes that we may see! Every week, I receive emails that fearfully depict some social or political situation that causes fear and panic in our hearts. Usually, the description of the situation is one of some uncontrolled threat that needs our immediate action or face disaster and defeat.
