Today, Saturday, April 6

    10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Gene Harlan Powell, author of “Fisher of Men: The Motorcycle Ministry of Herb Shreve”, will attend the Jesus Jam and Bike Show in Pearl City Park on Highway 80 East in Pearl. Sunday, April 7

    10 a.m. — The Spoken 4 Quartet from Branson, Mo., will be featured in concert at Prospect Church in Collinsville for Friend Day. The public is invited. Prospect Church is located on the left side of Highway 19, six miles north of Collinsville. For further information call 601-986-8392.

April 12-13

    7:30 p.m. — Children of Christ Gospel Choir is sponsoring “More than Just Singing”, our annual revival and Word and Worship fellowship. This event will take place April 12, 2013 at Christian Triumph MB Church in Morton, Miss. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m.  Rev. Carl Bickham , pastor of St. Hill MB Church in Newton will be the speaker.

This weekend of worship will climax on Saturday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. with our annual spring concert. All area choirs are invited to participate.

    LFW Ministries will host their 2013 First Ladies Oasis Retreat April 12 and 13 in Meridian. Events include workshops, painting, a fashion show, lunch, dinner and a night of surprise. Call 601-485-2870 or contact us at for reservations.

    Glad Tidings Church will have revival services April 14-17 with Rev. Roger Leggett on Sunday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday, April 15-17 at 7 p.m.

    7 p.m. — Good Hope M.B. Church is inviting the public to attend a Spring Revival. The guest will be the Rev. Samuel Green of Jackson.

Saturday, April 27

    10 a.m. — Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church will host its Annual Spring Festival to benefit local missions; the Boys & Girls Club; Love's Kitchen; People's Charity Clinic; Righteous Oaks; youth missions and church missions. The event runs until 1 p.m. Live music, games for all ages and a craft sale are new this year. Boiled shrimp plates for $8 includes a generous portion of boiled shrimp, potatoes, mushrooms and corn on the cob. Tickets available from church members or call 601-485-5598, extension 122. April 28 - May 1

    Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church will host a revival from April 28 through May 1. The Sunday morning revival will be at 10:15 a.m., with evening services Sunday through Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. Graham Smith will serve as worship leader and Sam Thomas is the evangelist for the revival.
