Today, Saturday, April 6

    10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Gene Harlan Powell, author of “Fisher of Men: The Motorcycle Ministry of Herb Shreve”, will attend the Jesus Jam and Bike Show in Pearl City Park on Highway 80 East in Pearl. He will sign copies of the first edition of his book from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more info contact Mr. Powell at or call 479-234-0800.

Sunday, April 7

    10 a.m. — The Spoken 4 Quartet from Branson, Mo., will be featured in concert at Prospect Church in Collinsville for Friend Day. The public is invited. Prospect Church is located on the left side of Highway 19, six miles north of Collinsville. For further information call 601-986-8392.

    10:30 a.m. — Ozarks from Glendale, Ariz., in concert Sunday April at Cotton Heights Baptist Church, 1377 Cotton Gin Road in Meridian. Phone 601-673-0062 for more information.

April 12-13

    7:30 p.m. — Children of Christ Gospel Choir is sponsoring “More than Just Singing”, our annual revival and Word and Worship fellowship. This event will take place April 12, 2013 at Christian Triumph MB Church in Morton, Miss. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m.  Rev. Carl Bickham , pastor of St. Hill MB Church in Newton will be the speaker.

This weekend of worship will climax on Saturday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. with our annual spring concert. All area choirs are invited to participate.

    LFW Ministries will host their 2013 First Ladies Oasis Retreat April 12 and 13 in Meridian. Events include workshops, painting, a fashion show, lunch, dinner and a night of surprise. Call 601-485-2870 or contact us at for reservations.

April 14-17

    Glad Tidings Church will have revival services April 14-17 with Rev. Roger Leggett on Sunday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday, April 15-17 at 7 p.m.

April 15-17

    7 p.m. — Good Hope M.B. Church is inviting the public to attend a Spring Revival. The guest will be the Rev. Samuel Green of Jackson.
