    • NorthPark Church hosts several support groups each week. Griefshare meets Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Single & Parenting meets Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Divorce Care meets Wednesdays 6:30 to 7:30. NorthPark Church is located at 7770 Highway 39 North in Meridian, just across from the North East Middle School.

Nov. 16

    8 a.m. until — Big Oak United Methodist Church in Kemper County will host a car show, flea market, antiques and craft and more on Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. until. The church will also have food for sale. Booths are available for vendors for $20. For more information, call 601-743-5758 or 601-743-2682. The church is located at 4865 Old Jackson Road.

Nov. 17

    9 a.m. — Good Hope MB Church will hold a Harvest Day Program and a Men and Women Day Program at 2 p.m. Speakers will be Rev. Bobby Nichols and Sis. Linda Nichols of Antioch MB Church in Lake.

Monday, Nov. 25

    6:30-8:30 p.m. — GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved ones death. The seminar will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at NorthPark Church. The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death. There is no charge for this event. For more information call the church office at 601-482-1322.

Nov. 29

    6 p.m. — There will be a Cancer Benefit Program for Patricia Ann Coleman Mathis at the Mt. Pleasant MB Church, 4536 Old Hwy. 45, south of Meridian. The program will be highlighted with A 50 Men in Black and 50 Women in White March and various choirs and groups performing. All participants in the march are asked to march with whatever donation you are making. Please make all checks or money orders payable to Patricia or Roshanda Mathis.
