A perpetual motion machine is a machine that has a continuous motion without any energy or power inputs. Through the years of my engineering practice many such ideas have been brought to my office with the intent to patent the idea as an exception to the rule of physics.
Only a few days ago I heard a man say, “The world will never end.” To that I must ask, what does God say?
The law or principle of mass conservation concludes that mass can neither be created nor destroyed. It may be rearranged in space, or the entities associated with it may be changed in form.
In Matthew 24:35 Jesus was saying to his disciples that when these described events begin to occur know that the end is at the door. Further, “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” The creator of the earth, then, went on with the statement in verse 35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
In Revelation 21:1 John “saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” Yes, I believe God, and I believe the law of mass conservation.
The earth will be gone! What does that mean? Jesus said in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me … I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also.”
The front page of the news whether print, radio or monitor highlights almost daily the nations of Egypt, Syria, Iraq/Babylon, Iran/Persia, Greece or some part of the old Roman Empire.
As the world tumbles into financial free fall without an apparent fix or repair in sight the land sees a One World Leader coming into play as every nation speaks of the New World Order. Empowered by the Prince of the Air, Satan, the anti-Christ, the beast from the sea of mankind, will come in the near future having seven heads as described in Revelation 13.
Seven is an important number in the Revelation as we look at the seven mountains which represent seven kingdoms, six of which we list above. The world observes the media report of the Arab Spring or the Islamic Awakening that is nothing more than posturing of the Islamic faith and readiness with an old, old theme. That theme God reported in Psalm 83:4, They have said, "Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more."
That seventh head has commercialized and advertised their power to the point that it is politically correct in the United States to bash anyone who is Christian and to use the name of Jesus is almost prohibited. (Military, Veterans Cemeteries, Public School, Public Speech, Public Christmas displays and Easter). However, you had better not slander the Koran, neither the Islamic belief nor Mohammed or the media will “calf string” an individual. This is “the spirit” of the anti-Christ movement.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are found in Revelation 6 and the fourth horse is a pale green horse in verse 8. Its rider was named Death, and his companion was the Grave. “These two were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword and famine and disease and wild animals.”
Green is believed to be Mohammed's favorite color and it is said that he wore a green cloak and turban. His writings are full of references to green and the color appears frequently in Islamic history. Further, It was the color of the flag of the Fatimid Caliphate. An interesting observation is the number of adherents to the Islamic faith are estimated to be about one-fourth of the world population.
The trying times of this age certainly cause concern as we observe the conditions of the world. The unknown is always freighting. But, God, desires for each of us to know that he will provide an overcoming path.
Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the light in John 14:6 and no man comes to the Father but by me. If any man, woman or child will “confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
