'The Red Roots' performance at Stonewall Church to benefit fire victim

MERIDIAN —     Stonewall United Methodist Church continues its gospel group series Saturday Night, Feb. 23, with one of the fastest-rising new groups in the music business:  "The Red Roots" bluegrass Southern gospel trio will be performing live in connection with a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for William Lee who lost his house to a fire several weeks ago and needs a "grub-stake" to reestablish himself in Stonewall.

Lee needs help to locate another place to live so he can return home to Stonewall from his temporary location on the Mississippi Coast.

James Hall, pastor of Stonewall Church, said, "We are excited we are able to host these red-headed triplets again! They are shooting up the Singing News charts and making quite a name for themselves."

The Red Roots will be singing for a love offering and the "Stonewall Cooks" will be serving a variety of homemade spaghetti dishes, also for a love offering.  The love offering for the dinner will help church member, William "Billie" Lee, get back home to Stonewall.

"We invite everybody to come and enjoy the night as we worship and serve God together," Hall said.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the singing starts at 7 p.m.
