    • NorthPark Church hosts several support groups each week. Griefshare meets Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Single & Parenting meets Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Divorce Care meets Wednesdays 6:30 to 7:30. NorthPark Church is located at 7770 Highway 39 North in Meridian, just across from the North East Middle School.



Sunday, Jan. 19

    7 p.m. — The Kingsmen of Chandler, NC, will be in concert at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Newton. The church is located at 4442 Newton-Conehatta Road (5 miles North of Newton). A love offering will be received.For more information, call 601-896-2249 or 601-683-3928.

    6:15 p.m. — The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will hold its Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Candlelight March and Memorial Service. The Candlelight March lineup will begin at 6:15 p.m. The lineup will begin at the corner of 16th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive (site of the Old Baptist Seminary Building). The march will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and proceed to the Historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 610 38th Ave., in Meridian. Rev. Melvin J. Hendricks is the host pastor. The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 p.mm. The guest speaker will be Rev. Gary Houston, pastor of New Hope Blackwater MB Church, Daleville, Miss., and president of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance. Musical selections will be provided by Various choirs from the surrounding area. Everyone is invited to attend this Candlelight March and Community Worship Celebration.     Southern Inspiration of Praise (S.I.P.) Outreach Ministries presents "Kingdom Fellowship Revival" on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m., and Jan. 27-31at 7 p.m. Nightly. Our theme is Revived & Prepared for Greater. Services will be held at The Abundant Life Ministries located at 131 Stepts St., in Palmers Crossing. Our speakers for the week are Minister Michelle Stells, Pastor Cornelius Mcdonald, Pastor Mirrett Rhodes, Minister Lakeisa Andrews, Bishop Darlene Lyons, and Bishop John Pace. Guest Psalmist will be Recording Artist Lakken Johnikin, Recording Artist Krista Mckenzie, Bre Miller, Raisa Castillo, Recording Artist Shronda Taylor-Leggett, Derrick Roundtree and Reggie Chapman.  We invite your choirs, praise groups, and church family out to help us Lift Up the Name of Jesus.     7 p.m. — Cooper’s Chapel Church, Highway 511 East of Quitman, will host Ivan Parker in concert. Tickets are on sale now at Oates Monument,108 N. Archusa Ave., in Quitman, Hometown Treasures, Quitman, and The Bible Book Store, 820 23rd Ave., Meridian. Tickets can also be purchased from Dianne Holloman, Rhonda Kelly, Chasity Hamrick and Kristen Oates. Tickets available at the door if seats are still available. Feb. 1

    11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Wesley UMC (across from the Wesley House) will have it's annual chili cook-off. The price is $6 and includes all the trimmings. If you would like to enter a pot of chili in the cook-off it must be at the church by 10 a.m. Please come join us in this annual tradition of more than 30 years.
