Monday, Nov. 25

    6:30-8:30 p.m. — GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved ones death. The seminar will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at NorthPark Church. The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death. Nov. 29

    6 p.m. — There will be a Cancer Benefit Program for Patricia Ann Coleman Mathis at the Mt. Pleasant MB Church, 4536 Old Hwy. 45, south of Meridian. The program will be highlighted with A 50 Men in Black and 50 Women in White March and various choirs and groups performing. All participants in the march are asked to march with whatever donation you are making. Please make all checks or money orders payable to Patricia or Roshanda Mathis. Dec. 1

    2 p.m. — Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Yantley, Ala. will hold its sixth anniversary  of Pastor Robert Webb Sr. and First Lady Meratha Webb. Cleveland Hayes, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Daleville will be the guest speaker.

Dec. 7

    10 a.m. — The third annual Bikers United for Children Toy Run takes place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Meridian, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Kickstands are up at 1 p.m. Each participant in the bike run is asked to bring a new toy. Police will escort the bikers through Meridian with arrival at College Park United Methodist Church, where chili and cornbread will be served. You can also drop off new toys at College Park United Methodist Church, Northside Church of the Nazarene, Ed Chaney Tire Center, the Hilton Garden Inn, Big Lots, Auto Plus Insurance or Quality Paint and Body.

Dec. 7-8

    6 p.m. — Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir presents Christmas Spectacular 2013 “He Came to Us” by Wayne and Elizabeth Goodine at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. Saturday, Dec. 21

    7 p.m. — Your pastor, church family and friends are invited to attend a Christmas concert performed by The McDonald Sisters from Meridian. Attendees are invited to stay after the concert and dine in the fellowship hall. The attire will be formal or semi-formal. Bring, a husband, wife, date or friend, or come solo. Everyone is invited. A photographer will be on hand to take photos.
