Signposts on the road to Armageddon

MERIDIAN — The Temple Mount is sacred to both Muslims and Jews and has been the scene of violent protests recently. From Amman, Jordan, Dec. 18, 2013, (UPI) printed that — Jordan is demanding Israel remove electronic surveillance cameras installed on the Temple Mount. The Muslims say they violate the freedom of worship.

Jordan has had a peace agreement with Israel since 1994 and is custodian of Muslim sites in Jerusalem. However, Israel is responsible for the security and has installed a police station inside the Jerusalem Dome compound.

Zechariah 12:2 says that in the last days Jerusalem will be the center of controversy as a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone. It is a city and nation surrounded by enemies.

Yet, God told David to build the Temple, which he did in Jerusalem, and God stated in 2 Samuel 7:13 that "He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” This and more is the center of controversy.

Jesus said when He returns to Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4) it is there that He will build a temple where He will rule and reign forever (Zechariah 6:12-13). God said in 1 Kings 11:36 that Jerusalem is “the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.” In addition God recorded this statement seven other times in the scripture. Why? Because the sovereign God of the universe stated that He would dwell among His people, forever. (Psalm 132:13-14)

The next temple to be erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will be the one standing during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, 2 Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1). However, this next temple will not be built until after the Rapture when Christians depart from Earth for the heavens.  Until that time, no one will be able to build the temple, even Prime Minister Netanyahu.

God tells the world what He has planned and the obvious conclusion is that Jehovah followers are overjoyed as events are fulfilled on a regular basis in world news. As soon as Lucifer learns the plan of God, Satan immediately tries to imitate or detract and confuse the followers.

It is interesting, when we know that God has always existed. In that context Lucifer wants man to believe he had no beginning as well. However, he was created. Lucifer will never be equal to God, but he continually attempts to deceive mankind. Without God, man will always be defeated as easily as Satan defeated Adam and Eve.

There is more than one difference between God and Lucifer. The Spirit of Satan continues to aspire to be like God and desires to rule the World. Satan is anti-God and anti-Christ which means he is against Christ and seeks to be a substitute for Christ. As we see the names of the people taken from Genesis 10 it is interesting to note that the names continue to be on Ezekiel’s time list referred to “as latter days.”

Satan through the anti-Christ rebellion in these last days is moving to assemble the same army that he developed in the first book of the Bible.

The road is prepared to assemble the federation of Islamic states that will be loyal to one World leader, anti-Christ. (Ezekiel 38) When Satan places his leader in position as the head of State for each of the countries as they evolve new leadership in the Middle East, the parade of men will move forward to follow the beast, to distribute the mark, to set the mark into the hand or forehead and to establish a one World government in the same way that the people at the tower of Babel sought to “make a name for ourselves.”

His name will be anti-Christ, the Assyrian, the prince that shall come, the man of sin, the son of perdition and the beast. However, the Name you need to know is Jesus, the Savior, the Son of God that came to earth as an innocent baby to love the world. Certainly, the Tribulation Temple is a significant time line as we observe the close of this dispensation.
