    • NorthPark Church hosts several support groups each week. Griefshare meets Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Single & Parenting meets Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Divorce Care meets Wednesdays 6:30 to 7:30. NorthPark Church is located at 7770 Highway 39 North in Meridian, just across from the North East Middle School.



Sunday, Dec. 29

    10:30 a.m. — Broadmoor Baptist Church, 5312 Highway 39 North, in Meridian, (just north of Hardees) will host a southern gospel music singer, Mark Lanier during the morning worship service. Mark has been a part of such groups as, The Bibletones, Perfect Heart, and Poet Voices. Over the last 20 years, Mark has been involved in an Evangelistic Ministry where his music has taken him all over the United States each and every weekend. Admission is free. A love offering will be taken. Everyone is invited.

    11 a.m. — The Historic Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 610 38th Ave., in Meridian will present an encore performance of the Christmas Cantata entitled, "Mary's Little Lamb, A Celebration of the Lamb of God," featuring the Mass Choir and Pastor M. J. Hendricks singing Bishop Paul Morton's Gospel hit single "Bow Down."



Tuesday, Dec. 31

    10 p.m. — The Historic Union Missionary Baptist Church, located at 610 38th Ave., in Meridian will present a traditional Watchnight Service, a night of testimonials, prayers, hymns and spiritual songs. The Rev. Leo Gordon, retired pastor, will be the guest preacher.

    7 p.m. — First Baptist Church of Pearl, located at 405 N. Bierdeman Road in Pearl, Miss., will host a Big New Year's Eve Gospel Singing, featuring The Men of Music, Tim Frith & Gospel Echoes, Jason Runnels and more. Admission is free. A love offering will be taken.

    9:30 p.m. — Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 4536 Highway 145 South in Meridian will host a Watch Night from 9:30 p.m. until the New Year at 12 a.m. There will be worship, praise and a testimony service, with the Rev. Robert E. Hopson as the pastor. Everyone is welcome.



Wednesday, Jan. 8

    6:30 p.m. — Liberty University’s premier worship band, Crimson Flood, will be in concert at Faith Baptist Church. With a bold sound and unique musical diversity, this group effectively bridges the gap between generations of worshipers, making them a favorite among churches everywhere. Join us for this exciting worship experience.  The concert is free; however, a love offering will be taken for Crimson Flood. Faith Baptist Church is located at 5050 Hwy 19 North, Meridian.
