Signposts on the road to Armageddon

MERIDIAN —     An MSNBC host stated: “Kids belong to whole communities, not parents.” Tulane University Professor Melissa Harris-Perry’s statement shows the failure of college leadership in the university systems.

Her purpose was to state a liberal ideology as she expressed the incompleteness of her education. Obviously, her lack of experience and understanding of God’s way punishes the wellbeing of the family.

King Solomon, regarded as the wisest man to ever live, said in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:4: “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the (discipline and instruction) of the Lord.”

God said of Abraham in Genesis 18:19NIV, “For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD.”

Experts generally agree that 50 percent of human intelligence is formed by age four. The Catholic Jesuits say, “Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man.” It is difficult to look at our babies ages 7 to 9 and to realize they have learned half of everything they will ever know.

This is natural family growth with love and is not brainwashing. Obviously, Professor Harris-Perry’s ideology seeks control over every person as if they were dominated by a socialist or communist state.

Many in America believe that the state should raise the child whether their vote is by commission or omission. Just look at the failure in the parent-youth system in America as it is reflected in the lack of discipline and the world education rank of the U.S.

The absence of a mother’s control is expressed in a book written by Hillary Clinton as she quotes a proverb that may not be African nor a family way. The Book, “It takes a village to raise a child” may have been an American societal expression. At best it may be a transliteration of the expression that other influences affect the child in addition to his home.

However, both of these expressions will pronounce doom on the children of our nation. Children raised by the community could be seen as a societal loss in mental awareness, education and the absence of the ability to sustain life if it is not provided by others.

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is just and right." (Ephesians 6:1) The Bible does not say obey the community or the village. That response will come in the respect of parental honor. Paul stated in Ephesians 6:3, children honor your parents, “that all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.”  When a nation leaves the Bible the people immediately lose their moral compass.

The little King of North Korea has brainwashed and molded the children who are 7 to 13 years of age into the Korean Children’s Union. This communist regime forces people to live in a 'virtual prison' with no concept of human rights. Germany controlled human behavior and Hitler proved he could.

A government or other organized entity can have a profound influence on what people believe and how they act on those beliefs, but no group can compete with a mother’s love. Young people are the most vulnerable in subscribing to perceived peer pressures and how far group influence may take your child. As an example in today’s activities look at the suicide Jihad bombers.

God warns believers that in the last days perilous times shall come because “men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers and disobedient to parents.” (2 Timothy 3:2) Paul adds a few more signs in the next verses that state people may be “without natural affection (homosexuals), truce-breakers (contract or no contract), false accusers (liars), incontinent (no self-control), fierce, despisers of those that are good.”

In that day people will love pleasures as they act religious.

Mississippi could borrow $20 million to help Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. update its factory in Tupelo. In return the company would pledge to maintain at least 1,300 jobs and invest $140 million in the plant. Do you think this is a good investment on the state's part?
