If you would like to hear author and bible teacher Beth Moore speak, this is your chance through the miracle of technology.
On Aug. 1-2 there will be a Beth Moore simulcast all over the nation, and also right here in Meridian thanks to Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Donna Temple of Poplar Springs says that Beth Moore does many conferences.
"She has what is called "Living Proof" live seminars where there will be thousands of people watching at a venue," Temple said. "She only does this once a year, but this particular year she's doing the simulcast live to sites all over the country."
Temple said that there was much to do in preparation of the seminar.
"We had to buy the satellite equipment, and we had to agree to publicize the event, we have to provide the staff here at the church, that will give prayer support for the seminar if needed," Temple said.
Temple said that some churches have already purchased tickets, and she hopes that this momentum will continue.
"I hope to see hundreds of people come out and attend this seminar," Temple said.
There are 20 churches in the state of Mississippi that will host the conference, but Poplar Springs Baptist Church is the only one to host here in Meridian.
"I hope this will reach across denominations. This is an interdenominational event, and I hope that that will draw in more," Temple said.
Tickets are on sale in advance or at the door for $25 a person. You can get those advance tickets at the church office located at 4032 Poplar Springs Drive or you can call (601) 485-5106. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, and the conference will begin at 6:30 p.m., and then at 8:30 a.m. the conference will continue on Aug. 2.
