A Praise Team Concert will be held at the Frank Cochran Center in Highland Park at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to Flo Payton, one of the coordinators of the event and president of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Praise Team, about 200 participants will be involved.
Admission will be $5 at the door. The theme of the concert is Raise the Roof for Jesus.
"We had our young people in mind when we thought of this concert," Payton said. "They work hard but are seldom recognized. Now they are praising the Lord in their own way yet in a decent and orderly manor, we wanted to collect as many praise teams, drill teams and mimes to show how much we appreciate them."
Payton said the teams have put in a lot of dedicated hours for the event.
