First Presbyterian is expanding

April 26, 2008 12:29 am

For the first time in 57 years, First Presbyterian, in downtown Meridian, is about to begin new construction. Organized even before the city of Meridian in 1856, First Presbyterian is excited about this new step of faith, as they prepare to expand their facility with a new Children’s Ministry Wing.
Construction is set to begin later this month, and should be completed in twelve to fourteen months. The new facility will include new Children’s Ministry classrooms and Nursery. The Children’s Wing will be attached to the present facility, and an elevator will be placed at the connecting point of the two buildings. Along with that, the church will have a Lobby built that will lead outside to a drive-through Porte ca Cher, for easy access to the new building.
