Annual EMSA fishing
rodeo Saturday
The East Mississippi Sportsmen Association (EMSA) will hold its 39th annual fishing rodeo on Saturday. The Pro-Bass event will be at Lake Okatibbee. This is a live release tournament in cooperation with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. The family fun event, open to the public, will begin at 5:30 a.m. at Pat Harrison Water Park and end at 3 p.m.
Prize money totals $5,000.00* Entry fee is $80.00 per boat prior to May 6 and $90.00 thereafter. Contact Don Delaney, EMSA Liaison Officer, at 601-616-6421, or Pete Ochello, EMSA President at 601-678-3458.

Catch and Win
Fishing Rodeo
The ongoing Catch and Win Fishing Rodeo ends at noon June 12, 2009. Three hundred fish have been caught, tagged and released in area lakes. The lakes are Okatibbee Reservoir, Neshoba County Lake, Kemper County Lake, Clarko State Park Lake, Lake Tom Bailey and Bonita Lakes.
A tagged fish must be taken to Boat and ATV World at Collinsville for confirmation and awarding of prizes. Winners will be entered in a drawing for $100,000.00 or other valuable prizes.
