Brian Keith Smith

MERIDIAN —

    Memorial services for Brian Keith Smith will be held Wednesday, at 6 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ray Whitaker and Rev. Terrance Roberts officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.       

    Mr. Smith, 50, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at his residence. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he enjoyed cooking. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and he never met a stranger. Mr. Smith was previously employed by Smith’s Carpet Cleaning.

    Survivors include his fiancé, Melodie Gressett of Meridian; daughters: Madison Collins and husband Chris, and Campbell Smith and son Hunter Smith, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; ex-wife, Ellen Joyner Smith Wilson of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brother, Justin Ray Smith and wife Leah; father, Bobby Ray Smith and wife Betty Blasi Smith; mother, Carlee Hamilton Whitaker and husband Ray, all of Meridian; and niece, Ella Kate Smith.

    Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
