Doris Clifton

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Doris Clifton will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Dennis Coats and Paul Allen. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Clifton, 88, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at the Specialty Hospital. She was a retired clerk for Tucker Photo and lived in Newton for the past several years.

    Survivors include her sons: Mickey D. (Micki) Clifton of Bay St. Louis, and Dr. Danny (Rose) Clifton of DeKalb; two brothers: Norman (Carolyn) Cumberland of Meridian, and Ravon Cumberland of Lynville; and, grandchildren: Casey R. Clifton of DeKalb, Jill (Dr. Rusty) Knight of Tupelo, Dr. Joni (Lt. Commander Keith) Utley of Boston, Mass., Cory (Chuck) Hawthorne of Buckeye, Ariz., and Beth (Heath) Baker of Mobile, Ala.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston William Clifton; siblings: Brantley Cumberland, Earl Cumberland, Jack Cumberland, Buford Cumberland, Fred Cumberland, Sherlon Cumberland, and Mae Copeland; and her parents, Samuel and Ellen Cumberland.

    Pallbearers will be Obie Drew Clifton, Glen Copeland, Luke Cumberland, Raymond Cumberland, Sherlon Cumberland Jr., Dr. Rusty Knight, Robert Sorrells and Joel Cumberland.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
