Abbie Lamont “Buddy” Lavender

MERIDIAN — Graveside services for Abbie Lamont “Buddy” Lavender will be held today, Wednesday, at 4 p.m. from the Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, Ala. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.

          Mr. Lavender, 85, of Boligee, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at his residence.

          Survivors include his companion Kathy Duncan of Boligee; sisters, Nennie Long of Aberdeen and Erma “Shug” Hitt of Aberdeen; three sons; one daughter and eight grandchildren.

          He was preceded in death by one grandson.
