JACKSON —     Services for Ermagene Bryan will be held today, Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church, with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will be held at Center Ridge Cemetery in Kemper County. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Bryan, age 78, of Meridian, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

    Mrs. Bryan was employed by the United States Postal Service and served as post master in Scooba for many years. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. After retiring from the postal service, she served as a volunteer at Rush Hospital. Mrs. Bryan was well known for her card ministry. She was a loving mother and grandmother and greatly admired and respected by her family.

    Survivors include her sons, David Bryan and wife, Doreen, of Scooba; Bruce Bryan and wife, Tana, of Madison; Chris Bryan and wife, Jelinda, of Castle Rock, Colo.; grandsons, Matthew Bryan, Justin Bryan, Chad Bryan, and Joshua Bryan; brother, Billy E. West and wife Jeanette; sisters, Dorothy F Coleman and husband, Harold; Ernestine Forseman and husband, Ferris; Lila Hammond and husband, Ed; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, T.W. and Annie West; husband, James Louis Bryan; brother, Wedell West; sisters, Eloise Moffett and Margaret Hailey.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Building Fund, 4032 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305 or Rush Foundation Hospital Volunteer Fund, 1314 19th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301.

    Pallbearers will be grandsons, Fred Rogers, and Mickey Vick.
