Modellus Lindy Tisdale

MERIDIAN —     Services for Modellus Lindy Tisdale will be held Monday, August 19, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend William Dowling and Reverend Gibb Prince officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Tisdale, 85, of Meridian died Thursday, August 15, 2013, at his home. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Tisdale was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church.

    He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Jewel Thompson Tisdale of Meridian; son, David T. Tisdale and wife Lela of Meridian; grandchildren, David Justin Tisdale and Lindsey Nicole Tisdale both of Meridian; sisters, Eloise Lynn and husband Jack of Meridian and Nova T. Crocker of Meridian; brother, Synn Doll Tisdale and wife Bunnie of Meridian and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo S. Tisdale, Sr.; sisters, Dietra Dee Torpin and Mavis T. Lucas; brothers, Leo S. Tisdale, Jr., Orion A. Tisdale, Danny H. Tisdale, Sr., and Tohy T. Tisdale.

    The family request memorials be made to Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund.

    Pallbearers will be his nephews.

    Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home
