MERIDIAN —     David Michael (Mike) Schuller, 72, of Lauderdale, died on Nov. 6, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Born April 6, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Mike later moved to Indianola. He graduated from high school there and went on to earn a diploma from the Mississippi School of Banking in Memphis, Tenn.

    Mike was editor of the Enterprise-Tocsin in Indianola, worked in the banking field for nearly 30 years and most recently was manager of the wastewater management system for his community of Dalewood. A source of pride for Mike was his service in the Mississippi National Guard where he retired as a Command Sergeant Major. As an active member of Lauderdale United Methodist Church, he held many positions and also belonged to Kiwanis, the Lions Club and the Fraternal Order of the Masons.

    Mike is survived by Patsy Schuller, his wife of 48 years; daughter, Kristie Anders; and grandson, Bradley Anders all of Lauderdale, and extended family members throughout the United States. Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor and deep compassion for others.

    Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with funeral service following at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Lauderdale United Methodist Church. Burial with full military honors will take place at Indianola City Cemetery on Monday at 1 p.m., all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home of Indianola.
