Fred Allen Chamblee

MERIDIAN —     Services for Mr. Fred Allen Chamblee of Union will be held today, Friday, at 10 a.m. at Pinkney Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Meador and Rev. Larry Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Pinkney Baptist Church Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Chamblee, 76, of Union, passed away at his residence on Monday, September 9, 2013.

    Mr. Chamblee was a long standing member of Pinkney Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

    Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Elsie Chamblee of Union; five daughters: Julia Ray of Memphis, Tenn., Debbie Carlton (Earl) of Arkabutla, Dianne Roebuck of Meridian, Amelia  Townsend of Union, and Melanie Kirkland (David) of Philadelphia, one son, Harry Lee “Bubba” Chamblee of Philadelphia; one daughter in-law,  Debra Chamblee of Union; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Ann Roebuck of Union; one niece, Sherry Whinnery and one nephew, Barry Roebuck.

    He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Dawn Chamblee

    Pallbearers are Barry Roebuck, Kyle Townsend, Josh Steele, Allen Carlton, Dusty Russell, Marion Whinnery, Randy Harvey and Terry Tullos
