Rudy E. Williams

MERIDIAN —     BUTLER, Ala. - Services for Rudy E. Williams will be held Thursday, at 12 noon, at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with Rocky Bumpers and Max Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bumpers Funeral Home of Butler in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Williams, 84, of Butler, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at Colonel Robert L. Howard Veteran’s Home in Pell City, Ala. He was retired from American Can Paper Mill in Pennington. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.

    Survivors include his children: Michael Williams of Butler, Debbie Williams Perry (Fred) of Newnan, Ga., Patty Harris (Al) of Meridian, Miss., and Jennifer Clark (Robbie) of Butler; sister, Donna Ann Williams Ruiz of San Antonia, Texas; and, grandchildren: Lindsay Perry, Emily Clark, Heath Harris, and Luke Clark.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Williams; parents, Earl and Esther Williams; brother, Hugo Williams; and sister, Patricia Myers.

    Pallbearers are Robbie Clark, Luke Clark, Al Harris, Heath Harris, Fred Perry, and Tim Brannan.

    Honorary pallbearers are Little Max Edwards, Mark Ezell, and Dub Ezell.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
