Letha Stevens

MERIDIAN —     Graveside services for Letha Stevens will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Drew Dabbs officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Stevens, 79, of Marion, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

    Survivors include her husband, Byrdette Stevens of Marion; daughter, Ann Bigham and her husband, Jerry, of Gallion, Ala.; sons, Samuel Stevens of Meridian, Timothy Stevens of Taylorsville and Lee Stevens and his wife, Scarlett, of Meridian; brother, Jimmy Smith and his wife, JoAnne, of Kenner, La.; grandchildren, Donald Jones Jr., Olivia Stevens, Brittany Stevens, Ashley Upton, Mamie Jenkins and John Cumberland; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mae Boyette and Mirea Caraway, both of Meridian; brother-in-law, Roy Stevens and his wife, Pam, of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Esther Smith; and granddaughter, April Nicole Stevens.

    The family requests memorial be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

    Visitation will be held today, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
