Martha Rose Hester


    Memorial services for Martha Rose Hester will be held Friday Nov. 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Cathedral in Mobile, Ala., with Rev. Johnny Cook officiating.

    Mrs. Martha Rose Price Hester, 71, of Mobile, Ala., died Nov. 8, 2012 in Meridian, Miss.

    She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Mobile, Ala. Upon completion of her degree from the University of Alabama and EDs from the University of South Alabama, she enjoyed teaching for 27 years at UMS-Wright Preparatory School.

Survivors include her children: Dunn Hester Chandler and her husband Steve Chandler of Fairhope, Ala., and Miles Carl Hester II and his wife Laura Stone Hester of Meridian. Grandchildren: Hannah Jane Hill of Fairhope, Ala., and Whitley Kaye and Miles Price Hester of Meridian.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Charles S. and Alma Price.

    The family requests memorials be made to The American Cancer Society or Christ Church Cathedral in Mobile, Ala.

    Pallbearers will be Buddy Buzhardt, Gerald Coggin, Steve Chandler, Sr, Chip Turner, Paul Morgan, William Akridge, and Michael Knight.
