Flora Jean Tillman Filmer Goss

MERIDIAN —     Flora Jean Tillman Filmer Goss, born Jan. 14, 1952, passed away the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at her home in Lauderdale County, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jean was a loving mother and wife. Her honesty, integrity, intelligence, keen wit, bright smile and love of life will long be remembered and missed by her family and friends.

    Jean graduated from the American High School in Augsburg, Germany, and attended USM and Mississippi State with a bachelor’s in accounting and was a CPA.

    Survivors include her husband, Ronald D. Goss; son, Kenneth James Filmer of N.Y.; brother, Lt. Colonel James Tillman (Phyllis); and, nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, James Charles Tillman and Jean Lenore Robinson Tillman; and brothers: John and Jeffery Tillman.

    Jean wished to be cremated and in lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the Red Cross.
