Elnora Mayo Crockett


OXFORD — Services for Elnora Mayo Crockett will be held today at 10 a.m. at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Charles Fowler officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oxford.

Mrs. Crockett, 89, of Batesville, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Beverly Health Care Center in Batesville. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the retired manager of Sunrise Counter at University of Mississippi.

Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Hall and Rosemary Crockett Austin, both of Oxford and a son, Wayne Crockett of Oxford; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dyke R. Crockett and a daughter, Linda Kay Crockett.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

Earl Rigdon


PHILADELPHIA — Services for Earl Rigdon will be held today at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Neshoba County with the Revs. Wesley Enfinger, Dr. Danny Lanier and James Young officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rigdon, 74, of Little Rock, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Laird Hospital in Union. He was retired from Delco-Remy in Meridian in 1992. He was a lifelong resident of the House Community in Neshoba County. He was a member of Antioch Baptist church and was a member of Union Country Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanetta Rigdon of House; daughters, Cheryl Rigdon of Lauderdale and Janet Coonce and her husband, Gary, of Lauderdale; a son, Jimmy Rigdon and his wife, Katherine, of House; grandchildren, Robbi Wilson and her husband, Blanda, of Greenville, Ashley Montgomery and her husband, Patrick, of Ridgeland, Jessica Cooke of Collinsville and Sydney Joyner of Lauderdale; great-grandchildren, Nichole Wilson and Katelyn Wilson, both of Greenville and Ethan Montgomery of Ridgeland; sisters, Evelyn Miller and her husband, J.D. of Meridian, Bonnie Mabry and her husband, Gerald, Carolyn Covington and her husband, James, all of House and a brother, Ray Rigdon and his wife, Wilda, of House and several nieces and nephews.
