Barry Lee Meierbachtol

MERIDIAN —     Services for Barry Lee Meierbachtol will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Meierbachtol, 63, of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy as an Naval Air Traffic Controller. After Mr. Meierbachtol’s retirement from the Navy, he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration. Barry was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He loved to hunt, fish, read, watch movies and play poker, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his wife, Tess.

    Survivors include his beloved wife, Tess Meierbachtol of Meridian; son, Zachary T. Meierbachtol of Valdosta, Ga.; daughter, Jessica M. Case and husband William of Hattiesburg; mother, Jean Meierbachtol of Mesa, Ariz.; brother, Bruce Meierbachtol and wife Cindy of Iowa; sister-in-law, Jean Meierbachtol of South Dakota; niece Erin; nephews: Nathan and Garrett; and his extended family, the Cacatians.

    He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy L. Meierbachtol; father, Ernst Meierbachtol; and, brothers: Brian and Glen Meierbachtol.

    Visitation will be Friday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., at the church.
