Florence C. McGlothin

MERIDIAN —     Services for Florence C. McGlothin will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Odell Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. McGlothin, 94, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2011, in Orange, Calif.

    Survivors include her seven children: Willie Ann (Lovell) Davis, Lee Arthur, Curtis, and Martha Slaughter, all of San Francisco, Calif., Audrey Jones of Orange, Calif., Brenda Stinner of Meridian, and Carol (Myron) Hairston of Pascagoula; one daughter-in-law, Eloise (William) McGlothin of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; four sisters: Ruth (I.W.) Dubose, Annie Faulkner and Louise Simeon of Meridian, and Myrtis Whitlock of Detroit, Mich.; a close friend, Louise Davis; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and  cousins, as well as the New Prospect Church and Community.

    Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
