Kelli Jolin Cross

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —     Memorial services for Kelli Jolin Cross will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Faith Baptist Church, Highway 19 North in Meridian. Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens is in charge of arrangements.

Kelli Jolin Cross, born April 9, 1969, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Kelli was a Baptist and made her home in Meridian, Miss., where she had been employed with Coca-Cola for over 15 years. An avid bowler, Kelli bowled with The “Dixie Belles” and the Griffis Motors bowling teams and traveled with the Family Bowl Lanes team.

Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Baswell of Meridian, Miss.; son, Robby Baswell of Meridian, Miss.; mother, Anita S. Cross of Meridian, Miss.; father, Edgar C. Cross of Douglasville, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Joe K. and Peggy Cross of Carterville, Ga.; nieces and nephews; her long time partner, fiancé William “Billy” Smith; and, very special “family” members, her loving dogs Isabella and Lacy.

As Kelli’s family, we would like to say a special thank you to her best friend, Vicki Lashane and her fellow bowlers; Ms. Jean Mason and friends and co-workers from Coke; and, friends and neighbors who called, came by, and prayed for Kelli and our family during her time of illness.

The Open Arms Foundation offers assistance to families of patients confined to medical facilities across the United States. Such was the case while Kelli was confined for medical care in Memphis. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Open Arms Foundation, 6584 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38138, or online at maac.com.
