James Lacy Davis

MERIDIAN —     Graveside service for James (Jimbo) Lacy Davis will be held Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m., at Mississippi State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Jack Bonner officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Davis, 75, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Infinity Hospice in Marion. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a member of the VFW.

    Survivors include his sister, Emma Davis Ezell; sons: Fred Lacy Davis and wife Brenda, and Steven Lee Davis and wife Rowena Norvell; brothers: Bobby Jack Davis and wife Barbara, and David Martin Davis and wife Nancy; grandchildren: James Robert Davis and wife Elona, Timothy David Davis, Elam Lee Davis, and Daniel Steven Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and, by a special friend that was like a sister to him, Eatha Wilson.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Fredrick Davis Sr. and Delcie Lee Davis; son, Bobby Ray Davis; and brother, Charles Fredrick Davis Jr.
