Nettie Elizabeth Foy

YORK, Ala. —     Graveside services for Nettie Elizabeth Foy will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., at Briggs Chapel Cemetery in Porterville, Miss., with Rev. Nick Holden officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Foy, 74, of York, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Hill Hospital in York. She was retired from Livingston University (UWA) as a Secretary – College of Business.

    Survivors include sons: Tandy Roy Foy of Porterville, Miss., and Michael Shea Foy (Kim) of Collinsville, Miss.; daughter, Tandra Foy Masters (Norman) of York; stepchildren: Sammy Foy of Meridian, Miss., and Denise Temple (Waylon) of Bailey, Miss.; brother, Bruce Lamar Hopper (Rose) of Birmingham; four grandchildren: Samuel Vincent Masters, Michael Trent Mathis, Megan Elizabeth Masters, and Matthew Tyler Dean; and, three step-grandchildren: Parker Temple, Tyler Temple, and Jennifer Hester.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Harold Foy; and parents, James Roy and Mary Elvis Hopper.

    Pallbearers will be Vincent Masters, Trent Mathis, Tyler Dean, and Chuck Mathis.

    Visitation will be Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
