GREENWOOD – Graveside services for Gayden Nance Yerger will be held today, at 1 p.m., at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, with Rev. Sydne and Travis Allen officiating. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home of Greenwood is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Yerger, 81, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and moved to Meridian in 1958 and remained there until 2009 when she moved to Greenwood. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Meridian and also worked at Wonderful World for Children Day Care. She moved to Greenwood and became a member of Greenwood First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughters: Laura Fincher and husband Todd of Greenwood, and Nance Hicks and husband Michael of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren: Kalley Barlow and husband Brister of Greenwood, Johnathan Hicks of Nashville, Tenn., and Ryan Hicks of Nashville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren: Madison Elizabeth Barlow and Branham Layne Barlow of Greenwood, and Kesley Evans Hicks of Nashville, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Father Paul Norval Yerger of Clinton; and sister-in-law, Sally L. Nance of Franklin, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rucks Yerger; parents, Edmund B. Nance and Susan Gayden Nance; and her brother, Edmund B. Nance Jr.
