MERIDIAN — Jacquelyn Drayton

    Services for Jacquelyn Drayton will be held Monday  at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Zacary Finley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Drayton, 63, of Savannah, Ga., died Sunday

April 27, 2014, in Savannah.

    Visitation will be one hour before services at the church.

Dot Sims


    PHILADELPHIA – Services for Dot Sims will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Dwight Fleming, Dudley Winstead and Chester Carlisle and Brother Bud Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.

     Mrs. Sims, 77, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Regency Hospital in Meridian.

     Visitation will be held today, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Sarah H. Massey

    A graveside memorial service for Sarah H. Massey will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden. Brother Mike Russell will officiate, with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Massey, 96, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Bedford Care Center.

Robert Bowie “Bob” Walker

     Services for Robert Bowie "Bob" Walker will be held at a later date. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Walker, 92, of Quitman, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at H.C. Watkins Hospital in Quitman. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps. He retired from the state of California. During his working years, he received numerous awards for his work on state highways.

    Survivors include his wife: Mary Walker of Quitman; sons: Mark Walker of Virginia, Steve Walker of Washington and Jeffery Woodward of California; daughter: Carol Walker of Sacramento, Calif.; stepsons: Edward “Sandy” Moore of Quitman, Mark D. Moore (Linda) of Snell and John Roy Moore of Quitman; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Theresa Sue Lewis.
